That cycle looks so familiar! Love the way you illustrate it. I always wish for all the butterflies to come back. The fear they’ve left forever is always there!
This was a lovely discovery! In a previous newsletter I shared about coming out of a partially open cocoon. Still blinking in the light right now and getting distracted by all these amazing "butterflies" on Substack, as well as ideas that want to take flight in my own heart. This is so tender & vulnerable, Nanette!
Oh Suzanna, take care of yourself! Covid can really wipe out all your energy, especially creative energy! I'm sure you'll be bursting out of your cocoon soon 💕
This is such a good visual description of the process, I’m stuttering between flight and cocoon atm! A real up and down, stop/start process which means I’m having a breakthrough (I think) …
Gorgeous illustrations! I go from one phase to another so quickly it's hard to pin one of these down so instead I'll tell you the phase I enjoy the most which are 3 and 4. Although 5 looks amazing I know it's ususally short lived!
Ahh those illustrations are gorgeous Nanette and very eloquent! A tentative 3 here!
Phase 3 is a very good place to be! 😊
Huge congratulations again on Bologna! You're on fire Sam!!!

I know exactly what you mean! I'm always scared the butterflies have gone forever, but they always come back eventually!
They do, thankfully! :)

Thank you so much Sandra! Look forward to watching all your ideas take flight! 💕
Cost caterpillar forming wings. A bout with Covid has put me into reset mode. Rethinking everything I thought I had planned.

Ooooh yes, breakthrough on it's way! It's just a matter of getting through that rollercoaster run up, isn't it? 🎢 🦋 💕
What a lovely way of looking at a very very familiar experience!
So glad to hear it's familiar to everyone else too! xx
So beautiful!
Thank you Paige! That's so lovely of you!
Yep, several times a day.
hahaha! me too!
Totally familiar with this cycle! Captured beautifully 😍
So glad other people go through the whole cycle too! Social media would have us believe everyone else is only doing the good/fun/successful bits!
This is lovely Nanette! Love that butterfly at the end! It’s so irresistible to get up again, despite knowing we should rest! X
Yes! Rest is an important part! Even though when I'm resting it feels like laziness or procrastination - it's important for refilling the well!
