After Eights being permissible to have as post-breakfast dessert?
That tin of Roses or Quality Street (sadly now plastic tubs and generic wrappers, so joyless)
Watching Wizard of Oz - AGAIN
My βbestsβ are mostly British Cliches that i feel nostalgic about having moved to Germany.
Now my favourite thing is not having to cook a single thing myself : my father in law owns the kitchen and forbids anyone helping him, so itβs bloody wonderful turning up and just being fed. Heaven!
Ahh! Thank you so much Ben! Hope you have a lovely warm outdoors Christmas!
My Dad is from Brisbane, he said they used to put artificial snow in the windows during the heat of Christmas?!?! The idea bewildered our British brains!
I liked the mice pie comment and eating under a blanket. I start my official mince pie season on 1st December and make sure I eat one (I try all brands) every day of December:) Tea and a mince pie - is there anything more wintry and cozy? Also - as a child reading under my blanket with a torch - usually whilst eating a Milky Lunch bar that I would have stolen from our village corner shop that was just down our stairs (we lived in it!) - was my secret ritual:)
Eating a mince pie each day of December is a challenge I could definitely get behind! I know of someone who keeps a spreadsheet each year comparing all the different brands of mince pie - which might be taking it a bit far! π
Thank you so much Raj! I know it's not the sort of Instagram friendly home decor vibe, but I love it so much and it makes me laugh, so happy to see you appreciate it too!
Thank you muchly, it doesnβt quite get as hot as Brisbane here, but you will still get a full roast xmas dinner here. I do miss the 7 years I spent in London and getting a few proper white Xmas π You have a lovely xmas too!
That sounds so good Jess! Iβm glad you feel the same way about a lovely cosy still down! Also, the last episode of Ghosts π’ Iβm sure it will be great though!

Chocolate after breakfast is a massive Christmas best thing!
I totally agree about the Roses and Quality Street tins. I loved that the empty tin would hang about all year being used for different purposes.
Christmas in Germany must be beautiful! Wishing you a very happy one!
Angela Lans-tree is low-key the best xmas thing I've seen all year!

Ha ha! I love it Nanette - serious mince pie addiction there. That makes me feel better about my intensity!
This is hilarious
So glad you like it! I really enjoyed your Bruce Forsyth story!! π
But nothing beats your tree. Angel-a on top - genius!!!

I'm looking forward to those same TV programmes and will be curled up under a blanket on the sofa within arms reach of drinks and snacks!π
