Lovely drawings and monoprints! Have you seen how Gemma Merino uses monoprint lines in her picture books? Enjoyed the video and watching that lovely fluid bowing hand - and what am I obsessed with? Playing the fiddle of course! 🎻🎻🎻
Yes I love everything about an unpredictable line - except trying to reproduce it on demand 😅 but it’s so much fun trying to! I guarantee it will quadruple the piles of ‘useful pieces of paper’ around your home/studio too!!
Hahaha! Yes! I have sooo many 'useful pieces of paper'! There's something so addictive about trying to reproduce just the right line, it's always just one drawing away. . . 😆
The moon prints are a delight! Maybe Kandinsky really was onto something when he drew to music!
Oooohhh, that’s a great reminder to go and look at Kandinsky again! Thanks so much Abby!
Totally! There is nothing more direct that Kandinsky and music 🤩
Amazing! I love the movement visible in the pictures of multiple pieces of your work, and how the writing mirrored the drawings’ frenetic qualities. 💛
Thank you so much Sarah! I was trying to write like I draw, thank you for spotting it!
I love your work. D
Thanks Dave!

Haha! I did think of you when I was writing this, I bet you've seen lots of exciting fiddle players as well as knowing how it feels to play!
Thank you for the Gemma Merino suggestion, I didn't know her work - it's so lovely!
Just been immersed in a fiddle week so YES!! Glad to have introduced you to Gemma Merino - her work is gorgeous and so is her storytelling :)
